Celia, writer and lecturer, lives in Montana with her husband Kyle. Skiing, running, hiking and gardening only add to her impassioned mission to further the legacy of her father, Harry Bertoia.

A very intimate look at this amazing artist. And to think that I thought he only did chairs! This book lets you look inside the man, who was very spiritual and humble and wise. If you want to understand what made him tick and what his philosophy was, this is a great book. The history of the furniture designs is also fascinating, with personal details that bring it all to life. Plus the timeline and list of public sculptures is really helpful. For anyone who is a fan of Bertoia's, this is the book to get.

Seldom do we get a chance to understand the environment of an artist to give real context to their work. This book will leave you with not only an understanding of his work but more so of his friends, family, colleagues and influences. It makes understanding the man and thus his work possible.
