A Great Jewelry Reference Book!

This is the most thoroughly researched jewelry reference book that I have ever purchased. The organization makes it easy to find items by eras, and if not familiar with the styles of clothing and accessories by decades, the author provides a brief summary of both as an introduction to that era. The book is well documented with interviews with employees and designers as well as original photographs of Napier advertising by decades. It is a definitive resource for jewelry produced by the Napier Company. The quality of the book is outstanding from the photographs to the documentation. I wish all jewelry reference books were as well organized with quality photographs. This book is a must have for your jewelry reference library!

If You Collect Vintage Jewelry, Buy This!

If you collect vintage costume jewelry, get this book. NOW. It is not only a guide to the fabulous Napier Company (which I knew nothing about prior to reading this book, and am now avidly collecting), it is an extremely useful tool for assessing vintage costume jewelry in general. If you have any costume jewelry that you wish to know more about, or, more importantly, sell, this book will help you understand eras, styles, terms, all of which are now key in all of the selling venues. The best word I can think of to describe this book is "lush". Wonderful, endless photos of beautiful jewelry. Just a perfect, perfect book.

If you don't have this book your costume jewelry library is not complete!

I have a very large library of books on costume jewelry and was a little apprehensive about purchasing another on only one designer/manufacturer. I am so glad I did. This is by far the most comprehensive book I have ever had the pleasure of owning. If you think you will only be educated on Napier jewelry you are wrong. So much of the information pertains to vintage costume jewelry in general. The quality of the book itself, as well as the photography, is excellent. The price is a bargain for what this book offers!
